In the Hot Rumor of the Day, Ryan Seacrest is dating a woman. Her name is Holly Huddleston. Conveniently, Olly is the star of one of E!'s reality shows, Sunset Tan. They have been dating for a few months now. Seacrest has managed to keep the relationship hush-hush since the couple started dating, but Holly has been seen recently backstage at Idol tapings. The two reportedly met through a mutual E! network connection.
Janet Jackson wasbriefly hospitalized this week with the flu. She was admitted to Cedars-SinaiMedicalCenter in Los Angeles late Monday night, but had been released by early Tuesday morning. Janet's rep says, "Janet is fine. She's just battling this flu like everyone else. The main prescription to get over this flu is rest and that's what she has to do." Before getting sick, Janet was scheduled to be the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live"this week. She's since dropped out. There's no word on a replacement yet.
A person with a gun was arrested outside Kate Hudson's New York City home yesterday. TMZ reports that someone called 911 after seeing what she thought were men on her roof with a rifle. Once they arrived, cops found three men on the roof, one had a camera and the other had an unloaded rifle. Cops told the site that the men were film students and had no idea that Hudson lived at the home. The unloaded rifle turned out to be a prop gun.
We told you yesterday that Britney Spears will have a cameo on CBS's How I Met Your Mother. Well Alicia Silverstone was set for a multi-episode arc on the show, but now TV Guide said that Alicia quit because she didn't want to be upstaged by Brit. Scrubs star Sarah Chalke will take over. Neil Patrick Harris said, "I was shocked that Madame Spears was willing to come and do some acting! She hasn't acted in a while," he told ET. "She plays the secretary to another girl that Ted is after. It will be very unlike any Britney we have seen before, and we have seen a lot of Britney recently." Britney's How I Met Your Mother episode is scheduled to air March 24th.
It's the 19th Century version of The Bachelor! There is a new show premiering on April 30th on the CW. It’s called Farmer Wants a Wife. Ten big city ladies will compete to be a farmer's leading lady. How will they win him over? Well of course competing in barn-based challenges like shoveling crap, rounding up animals, etc. But you gotta love how they're going to send the 'loser' home at the end of each episode. The contestant without an egg under her assigned hen is sent packing.
