In the Hot Rumor of the Day,HalleBerry is wearing an engagement ring that once belonged to the grandmother of her baby-daddy, Gabriel Aubry. As unlikely as this is, given the fact that Halle is constantly saying how she's not interested in getting married again, I'll let you know if we hear this from a more definitive source.

If you watched Desperate Housewives on Sunday, you saw Nicollette Sheridan’s character, Edie Britt, leave Wisteria Lane and thus, leave the show. Was her departure permanent? "Desperate Housewives" executive producer Marc Cherry said Edie is gone and, "She won't be back for a few years." So, she could be taking a few seasons off, unless the show plans to use "flash-forward" sequences. When asked about this, Cherry said, "I only address one rumor at a time. We'll have to wait until next season and see." If there won’t be any "flash-forwards", Nicollette's "few years" off could mean that she won't be back until the show's final episodes. That's because Cherry wants the show to end after the 2010 - 2011 season. He said, "We do three more seasons and then it's done. I will tear down all the sets personally. I want to be sure that when we leave the air, people still care."

We're now getting more details on the events that led up to Suge Knight lying unconscious and bloody outside of a Hollywood club on Saturday night. Unfortunately, they're all pretty unreliable and contradictory. First off, "eyewitness" sources says that Suge and his boys were pummeling some guy outside of the club in some sort of a dispute over money. But that victim wasn't the guy who knocked Suge out cold. Those sources say another man was filming the beat-down with his cell phone. Naturally, when Suge noticed this, he wasn't happy. He then turned his attention to that guy and put him in a headlock. However, he managed to escape. But then that guy wanted a piece of Suge. So, a few minutes later, he came back, rolled his car up in front of the club, got out, popped his trunk, grabbed a pole-like object" and used it to strike Suge in the back of the head. A witness said, "Blood started gushing everywhere. He sat on the sidewalk unconscious for several minutes. It's hard to see from the photos online, but there was a nasty gash on the back of his head." However, another source agreed with yesterday’s story but said the guy who punched Suge is a a barbershop owner in Los Angeles who is friends with the man Knight was trying to defend. The barber says he was playfully arguing about money with the mutual friend when Suge misunderstood and thought it was serious. When Suge tried to defend his friend, punches were thrown and the barber – all of 5'10" and 173 lbs – delivered the punch that knocked 6'3", 315 lb Knight unconscious for a good three minutes. Which story do you believe?

It was the season finale of The Bachelor: London Calling last night. It came down to one rose for two women, Shayne and Chelsea. Matt said goodbye to Chelsea and then actually proposed to Shayne - for once the show ended with a real proposal and not a promise to continue dating. Oh yeah, Shayne said yes, by the way. Do you think there is any hope for this couple?
