In today’s Hot Rumor of the Day, maybe Kate Hudson didn’t learn anything from last summer’s near-tragedy with her boyfriend Owen Wilson. It seems many people speculate that he attempted suicide due to their break-up. Well, we've heard rumors that Owen and Kate were back together and now, here's a somewhat blurry picture to prove it. It’s Kate, hopping on Owen in Miami over the weekend. Kate had lunch with Owen and his parents on Saturday, to celebrate her 29th birthday. That night, Kate and Owen hit a few clubs.

Jessica Simpson serenaded her boyfriend Tony Romo at his birthday party on Saturday night in Dallas – and fed him some cake. They showed up at Suite, an exclusive nightspot, to celebrate his 28th birthday a few days early. The get-together included a blue, star-shaped, No. 9 birthday cake – a nod to the Dallas Cowboys star's jersey number – champagne, and lots of dancing at the crowded club. At one point in the evening, Simpson got on the mic and sang "Happy Birthday" to Tony – then they started feeding each other cake. "She licked cake from his face as everyone cheered them on. It was quite a spectacle. But they looked really happy together. Jessica had blue icing all over her hands and mouth and Tony was laughing."

Carly Smithson isn't the only "American Idol" contestant with an album under her belt. David Cook has one as well. And his is becoming a hit as we speak. Cook self-released an album called "Analog Heart" back in 2006. It's available on Amazon.com's mp3 service, Amazon MP3. And over the weekend, it became Amazon MP3's top-selling album. It even beat out the new discs by Mariah Carey, R.E.M., Gnarls Barkley and Nine Inch Nails. That’s pretty huge! However, it seems like we have to go over this numerous times every season, but the rules state that an "Idol" contestant cannot have a current recording contract. Carly Smithson had a record contract and did release an album, but that might as well have been a lifetime ago. And David Cook never had a contract.

Here are some examples of why, again, we need to use the term “star” or “celebrity” loosely. NBC has announced the "celebrities" who'll try to learn circus tricks for their new show, "Celebrity Circus". They include: Antonio Sabato Jr., Blu Cantrell, Christopher "Peter Brady" Knight, Jason "Wee Man" Acuna from "Jackass" and Rachel Hunter. The show debuts June 11th. Sound stupid? Would you watch a show called “Celebracadabra” on VH1? This Sunday night, you’ll see more “celebs” taught a different genre of magic, and then show what they’ve learned to a panel of judges, who’ll determine which celebrity advances to the next round for a prize pot of $100,000. This show will feature Kimberly Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls, Carnie Wilson, and C. Thomas Howell. That doesn’t interest you either? How about the new show on VH1 called "I Love Money." The show is supposed to debut this July. It's a spin-off featuring the jokers from "Flavor of Love," "I Love New York" and "Rock of Love." This co-ed battle between reality stars will throw contestants from each of those shows in a mansion in Huatulco, Mexico and have them battle each other. Similar to MTV's Real World/Road Rules Challenge, these reality show stars will be fighting physically and mentally to take home $100,000.
