Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are headed for the altar, in the Hot Rumor of the Day!  Last week Kate was spotted in Boston wearing what many believed to be an engagement ring, and now sources have confirmed that the couple is indeed engaged. “Kate supported Owen during his low patch and that proved to him she’s the woman he wants to be with for ever," said a source. "“He picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find. He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional." Kate's rep denies the pair is engaged, and said the ring in question was just a prop from Bride Wars, the movie she's shooting in Boston.

On Saturday night, Suge Knight was at a Hollywood nightclub called Shag. At some point in the evening, Suge got upset with another guy outside the club and yelled, "I want my money!" According to witnesses, Suge then rushed the guy, and he and his boys began beating him down. But the victim got up and punched Suge in the face, knocking him out cold. The talk is that he was literally unconscious for nearly three minutes. Eventually he came to and they got him into an SUV and drove him to the hospital. When the police showed up, Suge refused to cooperate or file a report.

You can add "American Idol" to the list of televised national singing competitions that David Archuleta’s dad, Jeff Archuleta, has been banned from. It first happened when David did "Star Search" five years ago, and now, he's been banned from meddling backstage at "Idol". Jeff is still permitted to be in the audience during the shows, but he's been banned from being in the behind-the-scenes areas where David is learning or rehearsing his songs. But the last straw came last week, when Jeff had David change the lyrics to his first song, "Stand By Me", by adding a verse from the Sean Kingston song, "Beautiful Girls". When Jeff first brought up the idea, "Idol" producers nixed it. Mainly because adding parts to another song would require them to pay royalties on both songs. But during the show, David went ahead and sang his dad's arrangement of "Stand by Me" with the added verse. Naturally, that did not go over well with the producers and that's when the decision was made to ban him. Neither Fox nor "American Idol" has commented on Jeff Archuleta's status.

Nick Hogan
was sentenced on Friday to eight months in prison on a charge of felony reckless driving. He was taken immediately to his new home, the Pinellas County Jail. He also got hit with 500 hours of community service and five years' probation, during which time he won't be allowed to drink alcohol. And he lost his driver's license for three years. Since Nick is a minor, the felony conviction will disappear from his record when he turns 18 in July. Nick pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge, which resulted from his crash last August while allegedly drag racing. Nick's good friend, John Graziano, remains in critical condition and will require care for the rest of his life. After Nick's plea, members of Graziano's family got a chance to speak to the court before the sentencing, and they didn't do the Hogans any favors. John's father, Ed Graziano, said that Hulk Hogan and his wife Linda haven't been there for John since the accident even though they've said over and over again in the media that John was like a son to them.
