Miley Cyrus has issued an apology for some racy pictures of her that have shown up online over the past week. As you may have heard, some personal photos surfaced first. In one of them, Miley is lying on a couch, draped over the lap of her then-boyfriend, who was her producer's son. She's pulling up her shirt to expose her midriff. In another, she's pulling down her top to reveal just a hint of a green bra. Over the weekend, another picture started making the rounds. This one was from an actual photo shoot that Miley did for "Vanity Fair" magazine. It was done by world-famous photographer Annie Liebovitz and it makes Miley look like she's topless. In the picture, Miley is covering herself with a sheet, but most of her back is exposed and you can't see a hint of clothing. But Miley really isn’t naked under the sheet. Not that you can tell that from the picture. Here's what Miley Cyrus had to say about the whole controversy. "My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For 'Vanity Fair', I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots. I appreciate all the support of my fans, and hope they understand that along the way I am going to make mistakes and I am not perfect. I never intended for any of this to happen and I am truly sorry if I have disappointed anyone. Most of all, I have let myself down. I will learn from my mistakes and trust my support team. My family and my faith will guide me through my life's journey." The Disney Channel has Miley's back, by the way. Apparently, hindsight was 20/20 for Miley, because at the time the picture was taken, she loved it. She told the journalist who interviewed her for "Vanity Fair", "Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought it was really cool. That's what she wanted me to do, and you can't say no to Annie. I think it's really artsy. It wasn't in a skanky way." By the way, "People" magazine says that Miley's parents were present for the photo shoot, but they left before the fake-topless shot was taken, and once they saw it, they were mortified.

Last week, we heard that Amy Winehouse drunkenly head-butted and slapped a guy during a night of bar-hopping around London. Well, on Friday, Amy was arrested on suspicion of assault. Amy turned herself in voluntarily and spent the night in jail. But no charges were filed. They released her Saturday with a formal caution. That means it stays on her permanent record and can be used against her if she's ever charged with a similar offense. Police said Amy admitted to, "slapping a man with an open hand."

On Friday, Mariah Carey performed several songs on "Good Morning America" and it didn't go all that smoothly. Things got off to a rough start during her performance of "Touch My Body", when the song's back-up track started too soon. Mariah who was singing over the track tried to catch up and make it work until a sound tech was able to fix it. Then, in the middle of the song, one of Mariah's back-up singers starts singing her part and Mariah turned to her, and sang, "Stop singing my part now, baby." You can see video of Mariah's performance of "Touch My Body" at the Zoo Tube page. She yells at the back-up singer the three minute mark.
