I'm back to Blogging, sorry!

Forgive me, for I have no blogged in a while. It has been a whirl wind since the engagement! I’ve made some decisions regarding the wedding and it’s an extremely exciting time! I don’t know if you care to know at all…but I have to blab to someone about possible wedding plans. So here it goes!

First and foremost, we’ve got a date picked! It will be a Spring 2009 wedding. This will give us time to plan and just take time in general. I do NOT want to become some stressed out bride or become some BRIDEZILLA! No, there will be none of that. Secondly, I thought the wedding was going to be in my hometown but we’ve decided against that. This is where we met, fell in love and reside. We don’t know if we will be having a wedding at the beach/Norfolk or Williamsburg…all places sounds great to me! (This makes it difficult to decide) It will take place in a Catholic church (that’s the only request my parents had) and it will be officiated by my Ukrainian Catholic Priest who baptized me as a baby and gave me my first Holy Communion. I know that we will have Peonies at the wedding (my FAVORITE flower of all time!)

Let’s see, what else do we know about the upcoming wedding? I already have my bridesmaid chosen! I have EIGHT. I know, it is a BIG number, but I hold several people near and dear to my heart & I am excited for all of them to be a part of such a monumental day. I don’t like pastel colors…so that makes things a little difficult seeing that it’s a Spring wedding. I’m planning on visiting the paint store (weird, I know) and getting ideas from color paint schemes! My wedding planner Missy, suggested it! So far she has been SO wonderful…I will post her contact info on here in the next blog! It’s not that I don’t want to be involved in my wedding, I just want someone to keep up with the nitty gritty details because I tend to be forgetful! For our bachelor/bachlorettes parties we are both planning on traveling. Joe intends to either do a surfing trip or a trip to Vegas. WAIT, I already know- some people have scoffed at the idea of letting my man & several other mens run rampade in Vegas. I LOVE and TRUST my man! If I didn’t, I would have no business marrying him! So, that’s my take on it. As for me, I would like to go to New York with the girls or elsewhere…I’m not sure yet!
Other than that I am really looking forward in planning the honeymoon! Joe and I have toyed with the idea of either A: Hawaii (that’s where he grew up) I would love to visit the place where he was raised and allow him the opportunity to go surfing (it’s one of his passions! And he’s great at it too!) B: Going to the Greek Isles…we’ve seen photos and have heard AMAZING things…so it is an option & a place we are considering. In a perfect world we would love to go to Tahiti, but from what I hear it’s very expensive to travel there. Anyway, we have time to decide…so I’ll keep you posted!

Other than that, FINALLY taking engagement pictures tomorrow night! I’m excited and will post them on here once I get them back! Dr. Walt (maybe you’ve heard us talk about him on the air) our computer guy at work does photography on the side so I am happy to give him the business…and he takes WONDERFUL pictures! He took Shaggy and Nikki’s engagement pictures and will be shooting their wedding as well.

Anyway, ONE WEEK till the holidays! Hang in there!!
