In the Hot Rumor of the Day, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is used to barking out signals. But according to a friend, he sent the wrong signal to girlfriend Jessica Simpson when he compared her with his ex-girlfriend, Carrie Underwood. A friend of Romo's tells OK! magazine he thinks Carrie's more talented - and said so to her face! "He really hurt Jess' feelings," the pal says. "She tried to laugh it off, but she pouted whenever she heard Carrie's song playing." As if that wasn't enough, Tony said he thought Jess would have trouble winning over audiences with her upcoming country CD. Honesty hurts, huh Jess?
The editors of "New York" magazine struck a goldmine when they convinced Lindsay Lohan to pose nude for them. The magazine could have made more than $500,000 off those pictures in just two days, and that's just from posting them online. The banner ad on the page that the Lindsay Lohan slideshow is on has a CPM of $15. CPM means "cost per 1,000 impressions". Well, on just the first two days those pictures were online, 34 million people hit up that page (in other words, 34 million impressions). If you do the math, that comes out to $510,000. Here's the kicker, Lindsay didn't make a dime for the pictures. They paid her nothing. She basically did them for the "prestige" of recreating Marilyn Monroe’s final photo shoot, with the photographer who actually took those pictures. However, the "New York Post" says that Hugh Hefner has offered Lindsay some cash to recreate another Marilyn Monroe photo shoot in "Playboy". This probably won't ever happen either, but Hefner is also pushing to get Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to pose nude in "Playboy". He's actually been trying to convince them since they turned 18 four years ago, so don’t hold your breath.
Yesterday’s big controversy in “American Idol” was that Robbie Carrico might be wearing a wig. Really, no one cares, but his buddy felt it necessary to speak up. A dude named Kevin Scott, who is the guitarist in Robbie's rock band Missing Picket says, "Robbie does not wear a wig. I've know him for six years now, and I think I'd know if he had a wig on." Okay, great. But there is an Idol that is some legal trouble. Amanda Overmyer has spent some time behind bars for a DUI charge and has a long list of driving offenses. She was arrested for drunk driving while speeding back in 2006 and she was injured in a car accident in November between the city auditions and going to Hollywood. If that’s not enough, allegedly there are some nude photos of her being shopped around right now. In last night’s elimination, the two guys and two girls that got voted off were Jason Yeager, Robbie Carrico, Alexandrea Lushington and Alaina Whitaker.
Yesterday, we told you that we’d found out some exciting news about the bundle of joy expected by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. We heard it was not twins, just one girl, and they had bought a home in the south of France to deliver their daughter. Now, another UK tab tells a different story. Brad has been telling friends that they are indeed having twins. "Brad's been very quiet about this pregnancy so far but this was the weekend he decided to let the cat out of the bag," said a source. "They're having twins, Angelina is healthy and he's thrilled he's going to be a father once again." And this time they are planning to stay in the States. "They want to have these children in Los Angeles or New Orleans," said the insider. "I don't think Brad wants to isolate himself and the family again like he did when Shiloh was born."
