Change Your Scrubs!
Zach Braff sent a MySpace bulletin today confirming what most Scrubs fans have suspected for weeks: The show is moving to ABC.
"Many of you have been understandably confused by the Fairy Tale episode of Scrubs serving as the series finale," Braff writes. "It was not. I was not allowed to say it until today, but Scrubs will be moving to ABC for its final season. We are currently filming the 8th and final season. The true finale of the show will air on ABC in the fall. NBC merely promoted the Fairy Tale episode as the finale, as it was the last episode they owned."
He also clears up some questions about last week's episode (don't read below if you still haven't seen it):
"Also, several of you were very confused by the fact that Dr. Kelso and Laverne were still working at the hospital in the Fairy Tale episode. Because of the writer's strike, the last remaining episodes for NBC were aired out of order. This is why Dr. Kelso was still chief of medicine. That was not Laverne however, for those of you who have been following closely; it was a new nurse 'Shirley' who no one thinks looks anything like Laverne except for JD."
Super Fashion: OK, you know I'm not a fashion-y person all ... but when you bring superheroes into the mix, that changes the game. If comic books and Project Runway had a baby, it might be Project: Rooftop. The website specializes in redesigning superhero costumes, and the results are quite eye-catching. Check out these winners of a recent Iron Man contest, for instance.
VH-1 has Sexy Time:
Tonight VH1 premieres Sex: The Revolution, a four-part documentary that examines the history of the sexual revolution in pop culture, from '50s sex-ed films to Hustler publisher Larry Flynt to the work of provocative artists like John Waters.
The doc comes from the same producers who brought us The Drug Years and includes commentary by Bruce Vilanch, Erica Jong, David Crosby and other folks. Several clips are available at VH1.com, DailyMotion and Metacafe.
Uncensored versions of the doc air May 19-20 at midnight on the Sundance Channel. If you like your naughtiness unblurred (and who doesn't?), you may want to wait a week!
Here he comes...here comes type-racer! I know a few of you are already addicted to TypeRacer, the website where you can measure your typing speed against friends or strangers during the workday.
The cool thing about the site is that its typing tests incorporate passages from cool movies, songs and books, like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, A Clockwork Orange and Stephen Colbert's I Am America (And So Can You!). So far I've fared pretty well against strangers, though there's no way I come close to the top 20 users. (Seriously, 216 words per minute? Are these people robots?)
