Another day, another blog!

Another day, another blog.

The Police were AMAZING last night! Joe and I had some of the best seats! We were so close to the stage…we had an amazing view! Joe seriously had a perma-smile on for the whole show! Sting’s son opened up the show…he sounds JUST like his dad. I suppose that is a good thing but at the same time, it’s already been done, you know what I mean? Anyway, after his son got off the stage, Sting walked right by Joe and I! (we had REALLY good seats) and I think Joe about died. He looks really good for his age I might add! So my newfound crush is Sting, tight pants and all! I love it! Anyway, I hope Joe enjoyed his early Christmas gift from me, because those tickets set me back and I think I’m about tapped out!

I must say Happy Birthday to his daughter Kylie! She turns 5 years old today! She is such a cutie…for her Birthday I bought her a little digital camera (she asked for one) but it’s like a kids digital camera…I also bought her Aqua Dots but I just read a disturbing report!! Check this out: A TOY FROM CHINA IS RECALLED, BUT THIS TIME, IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF LEAD . . . IT'S BECAUSE OF THE DATE RAPE DRUG: At this point, as sad as this is, hearing that a toy made in China is getting recalled is so common it's barely even news anymore.  But this one . . . now THIS is news.
--Bindeez is a toy that's made in China . . . and it's HUGE in Australia.  It's a big pen that dispenses small beads that are filled with glue, so you can attach them to each other and make different art projects and designs.
(--To give you a comparison that should make things clear, it's kind of like the Bedazzler you used to make your customized DONNA SUMMER jean jacket.)
--It's so popular that it won the 2007 Australian Toy of the Year award.  But now, it's being recalled.  Not because the Chinese filled it with unsafe amounts of lead . . . but because the Chinese filled it with the DATE RAPE DRUG.
--That's right:  The glue in the beads contains gamma-Hydroxybutyric acid . . . which we all know as GHB.  At least three children have been admitted into hospitals in Australia after they swallowed the beads.
--The toy is also sold in the U.S. . . . here, it's called Aqua Dots . . . but, so far, there's no info about whether the glue in the beads over here is filled with GHB.  (News.com.au / Consumerist)
So although Kylie really wanted Aquadots I really don’t feel safe/right giving them to her. I know there are no reports of kids in the U.S. getting ill from them but I’m not taking the risk! When I called the Walmart off of Princess Anne Rd. to inform them about the recall (that’s where I bought them from) they couldn’t be bothered with what I had to say (not cool.) Any ideas for other gifts I could get her since the Aquadots are a no-go? I’m not really sure what’s hip & cool for 5 year olds right now! Any suggestions would be much appreciated: natalia@z104.com
In other news my mom is coming next week to Norfolk! She will be here on Wednesday for a Music conference. I am SO excited to see her! I’m such a Mama’s girl! She’s staying in downtown Norfolk but I plan on taking her out while she is here. My dad is joining her on Saturday. It’s like a whole family affair! I’m giddy like a school girl to see them all.
Anyway, I also had to send a shout out to my friend Molls! She just recently got married to Jeremy and I had to say CONGRATS to them! They’re a wonderful couple and I wish them a lifetime of happiness and love! They are seriously, two of the nicest, amazing people I know out there! Love you both! (even though your dog Leo barked at me the whole time I was over there for dinner the other night! LOL)
Well babies, until tomorrow…STAY WARM & be happyJ -Natalia
